Default Account inaccessible - very bizarre

Hello,

I am running: Release 7.1.3_GA_3346.UBUNTU10_64 UBUNTU10_64 FOSS edition.

Since I upgraded to 7.1.3 a while ago I have been finding that my account (I run this at home, and I only have two accounts on the system) will randomly become inaccessible. I say inaccessible rather than locked out, because the account does not show as locked out, but just stops accepting my password. To fix the problem I need to use zmprov to *both* set my account active and reset my password. If I don't do both, I can't log in.

I have been looking through the log files and trying to work out what is triggering this (sometimes it happens 3 times a day, others once every 3 days).

Can anyone point me in a direction to investigate this further, or should I give up and re-install from scratch (eek!).

Cheers,
David

maybe grep for your username in /opt/zimbra/log/mailbox.log and see if anything pops out

I checked the mailbox.log file after the latest lockout and the only line I can see is:

2012-01-10 22:18:30,460 INFO [btpool0-206://<server>:444/service/soap] [name=<username>@<domain>;ip=<ip address>;] SoapEngine - handler exception: authentication failed for [<username>], invalid password

I am running Zimbra on port 444 btw.

it was working immediately before this point.

Cheers,
David

Anyone any further ideas, or should I re-install?
