u r not alone!

I check this problem for 2 days now!
Clean install of Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS + Zimbra 7.2

with other zimbra Versions that were updated no problem!

it doesnt matter what u try to use: imap/s or imap or pop/s or pop.
Nothing works for me.
i played arround and testet following options too as mentioned in some older threads here:

zmlocalconfig -e ssl_allow_accept_untrusted_certs=true;
zmlocalconfig -e data_source_trust_self_signed_certs=true ;
zmlocalconfig -e javamail_imap_enable_starttls=false;
zmlocalconfig -e javamail_pop_enable_starttls=false;
zmlocalconfig -e javamail_pop_enable_ssl=false;
zmlocalconfig -e javamail_imap_enable_ssl=false;

Of course zimbra was always restarted after changing some option.
SMTP Mail works like a charm but external accounts r not accessible!

Quote:
zimbra@zimbra:/$ telnet mail.einfachmailen.de 995
Trying 46.20.34.43...
Connected to mail.einfachmailen.de.
Escape character is '^]'.

i got it!

the solution was this:

#zmlocalconfig -e javamail_imap_enable_starttls=false
zmlocalconfig -e javamail_pop3_enable_starttls=false
zmmailboxdctl restart

some servers will not pop3 with tls on, even if they should be able to ...

u r not alone!

for me it isn't working too.

Clean Install of Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS + Zimbra 7.2
No chance to create an external account, doesn't matter pop/s | imap/s.
On other hosts it works but they were updated. Not a clean install.

Firewall is open. Telnet works:

Code:
zimbra@zimbra:/$ telnet mail.einfachmailen.de 995
Trying 46.20.34.43...
Connected to mail.einfachmailen.de.
Escape character is '^]'.
Connection closed by foreign host.
zimbra@zimbra:/$
i played with following options + restart of zimbra:

Code:
zmlocalconfig -e ssl_allow_accept_untrusted_certs=true;
zmlocalconfig -e data_source_trust_self_signed_certs=true ;
zmlocalconfig -e javamail_imap_enable_starttls=false;
zmlocalconfig -e javamail_pop_enable_starttls=false;
zmlocalconfig -e javamail_pop_enable_ssl=false;
zmlocalconfig -e javamail_imap_enable_ssl=false
any ideas more?

the mail settings were tested on another zimbra 7.2 server and the work!?!?!
