GAL search returned no results ZCS 7.1.3 GA Release

Hello everyone I have what I hope is a simple question. When I try and search for users in the GAL i get nothing back. I run through the GAL Configuration Wizard, everything is in the green but when I provide a search term: i get 'search returned no results'


GAL Mode- External
Most results returned by GAL Search- 100
GAL Sync account name- galsync@mydomain.com
External GAL Polling Interval- 1 day
Server type- Active Directory
External server name ldap://IP Address | Port 3268
LDAP search base: DC=mydomain,DC=com

I'm using the GAL search settings for GAL sync

When I click Test after providing a search term I get 'Search Test Successful' BUT Search returned no results.

It has, I even reduced the time to poll every 15min and waited 2 hours before doing a search. I'm trying to figure out a way to force sync and then reference to a log to see if i have any errors.

well, take a look into /opt/zimbra/log/mailbox.log for some messages about galsync.

grep galsync@yourdomain.com /opt/zimbra/log/mailbox.log

ok, nothing seem to be wrong.

I supose you are in Zimbra webmail cliente or ZD, and you try to search a contact?

I've been following this thread and your statement confused me. I'm having the same problem and can't find a reason. Are you saying that your configuration matches the other yet yours works?

Well I believe if you are integrating with AD then I guess there is a option for AD directly instead of configuring with External. I don't have console in front of me at this moment but can let you know once I reach office. Any way you can search for AD option in Configure GAL tab.
