Default Mail Notification with Blank From Address

Hi,

I'm pretty new to the world of Zimbra...

I'm running ZCS 7.1.3 on CentOS 6

Several users are attempting to send a notification to another email & it doesn't have a from address.

I have tried this command to change the from address for everything in the COS:
zmprov mc default zimbraNewMailNotificationFrom 'postmaster@mydomain.com'

It still has no from address.

not sure what other info would be helpful.. but I'll happily provide it if you tell me what's needed...

What am I missing?

thanks!

~gary

What exactly do you mean no 'from address', do you mean the senders 'name' that you see in the From column? How about setting your entry like this:

Code:
'"Postmaster" <postmaster@mydomain.com>'
Does that do what you need? If that's not what you want then exactly what is the 'from address' that you're talking about?

Thank you for the quick reply!

The adding the name ("Postmaster") solved it for me.

Have a great day!
