Default Archiving Mails in Open source version

My question is I just wanted to know if there is a manual way (or anyway around it) to actually archive mails in the open source version.

Must i definitely have to upgrade to the Network version to get this functionality or is there a manual way of doing this stuff.

Will appreciate any feedbacks
Regards.

If archiving email is important to your business my advice would be to upgrade to the Network Edition, there's no easy alternative. There are several threads on backing-up/restoring the OSS version, there may be something in there that would do what you need.

I agree with phoenix.

Also, you can set up a crontab job to rsync the files somewhere else, then tar them.
