Question Got a backup mx service. Question about Zimbra config.

I signed up for Dyn Email Backup MX. Before I add the necessary MX record (mx2.mailhop.org) with my DNS provider I want to ask if I should make any changes to my Zimbra server.

I found this link Why am I not receiving email? - Dyn, but I'm not sure if and where to add this:

Quote:
Range: IP Address / Netmask: Netblock:
216.146.32.0-216.146.33.255 216.146.32.0/255.255.254.0 216.146.32.0/23
Anyone use Dyn Email Backup MX service?

Thanks

I don't have a problem with my server. My question was if I need/ should make any configuration changes to accommodate the use of a backup mx service which I've never used before.
AFAIK, There is nothing you need to change on the Zimbra configuration. MX backup will works automatically.

If at any time your servers was down, mx servers will automatically receive an email, save it on their queue and then automatically forward it to your server when your server up again.

Just add MX records as specified by provider to your public DNS server then mx backup should take care mail backup.
