Test Restore NE to Open Source

I would like to test the Zimbra backups on a recently installed server. Can I use FC4/5 and the Open Source version to test them? I'm currently using Zimbra on RHEL4 with the Network Edition.
I may just try to get a 30 day trial entitlement from RHN and go that route if possible. Any ideas?

The OSS edition doesn't include the backup/restore functionality so not sure what your expecting to happen. You can of course restore to a different box assuming it's running the same NE install version.

If you're just looking to test out restoring Zimbra on another server, you might consider CentOS. CentOS is near identical to RHEL.

No, it's not officially supported by the Zimbra folks, but that might beat having to deal with another license or trial license. And a number of people have successfully run the Network Edition of Zimbra on CentOS.

thanks very much. waiting on a response from RHN. If they do not let me use a trial license i will try this alternate avenue.
