Netbackup and ZIMBRA

Backing up Zimbra Open Source flat files on Linux Machine , trying to redirect those files to the alternate location.
Looks like the redirect restore is not working.

What is the best procedure to redirect the restore for Zimbra .

And what should be backed up for Zimbra Open source application keeping in consideration the Disaster recoveries and recoveries.

Netbackup compatibility guides does not show ZIMBRA with in its support. Do you have any info if Netbackup can be used for Zimra.

You backup the complete /ppt/zimbra directory structure and you stop Zimbra while that process takes place. The subject of OSS Backup/Restore has been covered in many forum threads and wiki articles, have you looked at any of those?

Hi Phenix,

Thank you for your update on this query. I have a client who have backed up /ppt/zimbra but the ZIMBRA was not stopped at the time of backup.
And also at this time we are trying to restore the /ppt/zimbra/___/some folder to alternate location and that is failing .

Any input on that. You suggestion will be highly appreciated.

OSS Backup/Restore forum topics , can you hsare one please.

If Zimbra was not stopped then the backup will be useless.

iam on mobile so sorry i cant send you the links but just look at my user and recent post about backup
i made a very simple script to shutdown and startup at a certain time

that way you can do several hotbackups during the day to reduce the downtime and make one cold backup to really secure your data
