ldap password policy

hi,

we're using an external LDAP for zimbra auth.

does Zimbra understand password policies?

we need to give a message to users when their password is about to expire.

we use SHADOW attributes for enforcing policies.

no, and you can't change an external ldap passwrod from zimbra anyway

it's ok for us if you can't change password from zimbra, we use a central page to do that.

but i would be nice for zimbra to understand policy messages.

we have support, can we open a feature request?

no, we were unsuccesfull in our tests.

for us is really a stopper as we have lot of different profiles and some users only login in mail, never in another domain app.

for now we just send an email if we found that they're gonna expire, but it would be great that Zimbra understood policy messages.
