Default 7.1.3 update not taking

I'm running 7.1.2 on a Debian server. I downloaded the 7.1.3 path, untarred it, went into the new patch dir, and issued the command: ./installPatch.sh

But all I get back is:

Current Version: 7.1.2_GA_3260

It doesn't do anything else. Any ideas why?

Thanks

A Debian server? That is not one of the supported platforms right? Did you use the platform override command when you initially installed it?

EDIT: Ah, I see you are running Debian 5. Looking at the download page, I see the following:

Code:
Debian 5 64bit x86 (MD5) DEPRECATED 32bit x86 (MD5) DEPRECATED
Not sure what deprecated means in relation to Debian 5 being a supported platform since they obviously have download links for it.

EDIT: Check to make sure you are root user and then examine the install log file.

EDIT: Give the full install a shot...but make sure you have a good, verified backup 1st.

I figured so long as it is still listed and 7.1.3 install is available, that the patch would also work. Can I then use the 7.1.3 install file to update? Seems like when you run the full install there is also an update option.

Did you read the Patch Release Notes before trying this? That patch is for the version it's listed with, not any other version and it's also not a full 'upgrade' and will not be applicable to any other version of Zimbra.

If you wish to do an upgrade then you download the specific release for your distribution and run that plus the patch for 7.1.3, please read the Release Notes and take a backup before you do the upgrade.

You should also update your forum profile with the output of the following command:

Code:
zmcontrol -v

The only way to update a profile is with the link you provided. Why is there no link in the CP?

As mentioned in several threads, there was a minor hiccup during a recent forum software update and that feature went walkabout - it will return in the not too distant future.

I know, but why asking people to update their profile when there's no link to do so.

Go back and look at my post, unless I'm mistaken there's a link provided in there.

Sure, but it's not in the CP. The only way to update is with your link.

By the way, thanks for the link. Now I was able to update my own profile after searching my CP for hours.

Ok, I updated my profile.

Nonetheless, I'm still a little confused. I've gone through release notes for 7.1.3 and for the 7.1.3 patch. The 7.1.3 release notes really only refer to upgrading from 5.x or 6.x, but not updating from 7.1.x. The release notes for the patch only say how to use the patch. Perhaps my confusion is in understanding the difference between the two packages.

Just to recap, I have 7.1.2 installed. Do I: a) just do an install from the full release of 7.1.3 to update it, and then apply the patch?; or b) should I just be able to apply the patch?

Sorry, if I missed the specific details somewhere, but I just don't see the specific instructions.

Thanks for any input.
