| | What happened to the Product Portal? Quote:
Doesn't seem to be much, if any, information there anymore?
pm.zimbra.com
| Nevermind.....it's there now. Man I swear there wasn't anything there a few minutes ago. |

| | There's still not a lot there. I expected version 8 to be listed there by now (considering the occasional bug/RFE/etc. mentions version 8 already).

You can always check bugzilla for the visible bug reports and RFEs - I don't consider that list to be "....the occasional bug/RFE/etc" unless your definition of 'occasional' is different to mine.

| | That isn't what I meant exactly. A while before version 7 came out, you could go to pm.zimbra.com and see the 7.0 release listed (with or without an estimate of when it would be out).
You could then see a page similar to the one below for version 7.0 before it was out. Zimbra Product Management Portal
What I meant by 'occasionally' was that when I'm looking at specific bugs I occasionally, on those specific bugs/RFEs/etc., see version 8 listed.

| | | And more than 2 months later, PM still hasn't been updated... (absolutely nothing about versions 7.1, 8, Desktop...)
I don't know why, but I think that since Zimbra has been part of VMWare, the development is not "as open" as it used to be...
It'd like to be proven wrong about this.
If the aim is to "hide" the progress to opponents, this won't help : bugzilla is still available. PM portal was especially good for users and administrator to have an overview of the corrections/new features of future version. |
