Default 7.1.3 web interface HTML mime as attachment?

I noticed that since upgrading to 7.1.3 that email sent as HTML content is show up as an attachment rather than the body of the email.

For example, email from CNN:
Content-type: text/html
MIME-Version: 1.0

Really? I just installed a new 7.1.3 system...I'll give it a test and report back with my results (since it was not an upgrade, it will not mimic your scenario perfectly).

EDIT: My new 7.1.3 installation had no problems with it. I'm running 7.1.3 OSE on Ubuntu Server 10.04.3 LTS.

From Zimbra/Firefox, I created a new email, changed format to HTML, typed a long sentence and made sure to use many HTML coding options.

I then sent it to my Hotmail/Firefox, GMail/Firefox and Exchange/Outlook accounts. They all displayed the content perfectly. I replied from each account with additional HTML coding and they showed up in Zimbra and worked as expected...no attachments.

I recently upgraded from a new install of 7.1.2 to 7.1.3 and from the tests I ran, it seemed to work OK with the one exception of a "locked log files" bug during an integrity check which seems to be no real problem to worry about (known issue with MySQL for 5+ years). I cannot recall if I sent an HTML message in that timeframe though.

If something went sideways with your upgrade, it would probably be helpful if you gave us some details as to what version you were on before the upgrade. Also, check the logs to see if anything psycho shows up in there. (Oh, just noticed your sig: "7.0.1_GA_3105.UBUNTU10_64 UBUNTU10_64 FOSS edition" so was that your prior version?)

Something else you can try if you cannot figure out how to solve it is to re-build your old server in a virtual environment, restore the most recent backup before your upgrade and verify that the HTML works in that version...then upgrade again and see if the problem repeats itself. But then again, if this is the only problem you have, there is probably a command you can run that toggles a setting to fix how it works.

I also went from 7.1.2 -> 7.1.3 on Ubuntu 10.04LTS 64-bit

Send me a private message with your email and I can forward.

I am seeing some messages come through OK. But others (like specifically from CNN) do now.

This has been fixed in the current 7.1.3 patch.

What's the bug #? And what patch? I still see 7.1.3 as the latest available.

The bug report I filed is attached:

Thank you Doug. I do concur with your findings as I was able to reproduce this behavior as well with ZCS-713. Your message does display from my Gmail and Yahoo accounts.

I've opened a new bug report based on this case which will notify you of the bug's status even when this case is closed.

Bug 65982 – Multi Mime msgs are not displaying in either advanced or standard client
