Default Users from one domain cant log in

Im having a strange problem on my zimbra server. This server hosts 16 domains. One domain randomly does not let the users login.

Orginally this domain was configured for external auth (to an old exchange LDAP) when the problem started.

I then switched them to local authentication and had everyone reset their password. A couple of days later the problem starts again. Whats strange is on occasion one user can login while the other can not. Also the problem comes and goes without me intervening by attempting to restart zimbra.

I have scored the logs as described in the wiki, but i dont know what i am looking for so i could use some help. Of course whenever i try with my test account for that domain it works

Release 7.1.3_GA_3346.RHEL5_20110928134520 CentOS5 FOSS edition.

Default I've narrowed it down

Ive tracked down the login issues to a specific message in the mailbox.log. The user is dawn.b, shes is connecting from mail.example.com which is configured in the domain > virtual hosts tab.

2011-11-14 09:37:05,566 INFO [btpool0-1412://localhost/service/soap/AuthRequest] [ip=76.110.185.119;ua=zclient/7.1.3_GA_3374;] SoapEngine - handler exception: authentication failed for [dawn.b], account not found

If she keeps trying eventually after 15 or 20 minutes she will be able to login. The next day the same thing happens and she goes through the process again.

Anyone have any ideas why this is happening and at random times?
