Automatically download mail from external pop3 account

Is there an option for Zimbra to download new mail every set amount of time (few hours) from an external mail account? I know that Zimbra downloads mail when I click Get Mail, but I would like Zimbra to automatically download email even for accounts that I NEVER log into for a long time, as a backup copy.

A cronjob would probably be ideal, but don't know if what I need can be done.

Add an external account to your main account, it's in the Preferences/Accounts section. If you need to modify the polling interval then search the forums for details.
