Sharing the Entire Mailbox (Not Just a Mail Folder)

Hi all,

I know how to share a single mail folder, but I'd like to give a user 'Manager' or 'Admin' rights to the entire mailbox. My goal is to avoid going to each subfolder to grant permissions, and to make sure that if new subfolders are created the grantee has rights to those automatically. Is there a way to do this? There isn't a "Share Folder" option when I right-click the Folders root in the Zimbra web client.

It'd also be nice if there was a way to script this since I have a several mailboxes I need to share.

I'm new to Zimbra (building a 7.1.2 server and testing it out) but I recall reading something about what you are talking about while researching command-line syntax. I think modifyFolderGrant and createMountpoint are what you are looking for. But if your profile is correct and you are on 5.0.1x, I think there is some kind of bug related to that which was fixed in a later version. Not sure but that is what stuck in my head.

Thank you both for the info. Looks like there's not a way to do this from the web client, but that's okay since it can be done from the CLI with the link that phoenix provided. I will test is out now and see how it works.

One related question, though: When running the command below...
zmmailbox -z -m share@domain.com mfg / account user@domain.com rwixd

...can you specify multiple mailboxes, or even all mailboxes for that matter?
