Zimbra log file rotations are controlled via the /etc/logrotate.d/zimbra script.

You can edit it to suit your preferences but it will be replaced as part of a Zimbra upgrade with the latest Zimbra version.

    Hope that helps,
    Mark

I've deleted compressed logs with no issues. I've even accidentally removed the active logs and things still work fine. They get re-created after the logrotate runs.

in my production (live) server under /var/log/zimbra-stats.log there are logs since Oct 2012 which is slowing down my mail server. If i delete the zimbra-stats.log itself will it have any negative impact on my mail server. Some pls help!!

Those logs are used for the stats that you access from the admin GUI. You can remove old files, and there should be no impact whatsoever. You just won't have the historical data that they contain for stats (which is probably not that important anyway)

I only used to keep 15-30 days of stats anyway.
