Question can't mobility tab in admin/configuration

I'm finally trying to allow my people to connect and sync to Zimbra NE 6.0.9 via smartphones (both android and iPhone).

However, when I go to the admin console and select configuration, COS, I cannot find a tab that says Mobility.

Can anyone help with this?

Mark

There no such thing as a 'Mobility' tab, it's Zimbra Mobile? If you don't see that check your Admin Extensions and see if the Zimbra Mobile extension is deployed, if not the deploy it.

Question

OK. I've since gone through zmzimletctl and deployed the mobile sync zimlet.

The admin ui says it is enabled.

I still don't see a Zimbra Mobile tab under configuration ->COS

Suggestions?

Thanks,

Mark

OK, I've learned a lot more about the com_zimbra_mobilesync zimlet. As above I had deployed it. It appeared as enabled in the admin_estensions, but couldn't find a tab called mobile in any of the COS (I have three, default, employees, execs) or the individual accounts.

So, I undeployed it and went through the individual steps to deploy it, install, ldapDeploy, acl, and install.

Again it appeared in the admin_extensions under the UI but no tab.

I went through and did the acl thing (zmzimctl acl com_zimbra_mobilesync default grant, and for the others) on each COS, restarted zimbra and under the UI I still get nothing.

Using zmzimctl listZimlets I get the following list:
Installed Zimlet files on this host:
com_zimbra_adminversioncheck
com_zimbra_bulkprovision
com_zimbra_cert_manager
com_zimbra_date
com_zimbra_email
com_zimbra_local
com_zimbra_mobilesync
com_zimbra_phone
com_zimbra_url
com_zimbra_webex
com_zimbra_ymemoticons
Installed Zimlets in LDAP:
com_zimbra_date
com_zimbra_email
com_zimbra_local
com_zimbra_phone
com_zimbra_url
com_zimbra_webex
com_zimbra_ymemoticons
Available Zimlets in COS:
default:
com_zimbra_date
com_zimbra_email
com_zimbra_local
com_zimbra_mobilesync
com_zimbra_phone
com_zimbra_url
com_zimbra_webex
com_zimbra_ymemoticons
employees:
com_zimbra_date
com_zimbra_email
com_zimbra_mobilesync
com_zimbra_ymemoticons
execs:
com_zimbra_date
com_zimbra_email
com_zimbra_mobilesync
com_zimbra_ymemoticons

So, each COS has it. And yet, the tab for mobile doesn't appear in any of them nor for the individual accounts.

So, I believe I've done everything correctly. Can anyone suggest something which may fix the issue so I can give my people sync with their smartphones?

Thanks,

Mark

Afraid I can't help you, but since you have NE, why not contact Support?

we bought the license in perpetuity without support. Everything was working fine until I wanted to add this function.
