Apple iCal - private appointments

Hi,

we are unable to create private appointments via Apple's iCal
having Zimbra running as a caldav server. Since both Zimbra
and Apple iCal are able to handle private appointments, is there
any chance to get this patched in OpenSource edition?

Zimbra: 7.1.2_GA_3268.DEBIAN5_64 DEBIAN5_64 FOSS edition
Apple iCal: 4.0.4 (1395.7) - Mac OS X 10.6.8

In fact this issue has been marked as fixed in NetworkEdition.

Then it will also be fixed in the Open Source edition. It would be an idea if you gave a description of the exact problem and steps to reproduce it and when you mention a bug report you should also include it's number (or a link to the bug) for reference.

When I go to Apple iCal and use Zimbra as a caldav server there is no such option as marking appointments private. How can we provide more detailed
information? Is it any useful to dump xml communication or zm mailbox logs?

You mentioned that it was "fixed in the Network Edition", I also asked you to post the bug number - what is it?

He may be referring to Bug 30803 - Mac iCal changes private events to public which has indeed been fixed.

However, when configured with Zimbra CalDAV, iCal still doesn't allow you to select Private when editing an event. Both iCal 4.0.4 and iCal 5.0 should have access to this feature, according to their online Help.

Bug 59842 - Not possible to mark an event as private in Apple iCal/calDAV reports this bug, but it has been marked INVALID, I believe incorrectly.
