Default Migrating from Zimbra 4.5 to 7.1.2

Hello Everybody

I am planning to upgrade my zimbra open source edition to the newest release

My problem is I don't know which upgrade path I should follow since my guessing is that many things have changed from the 4.2 to the general availability release.

Thanks in advance.

You don't say which exact release you're using, I'd suggest you go to the Downloads page and read the Release Notes for the current 5.0.x version and read about the upgrade path (somewhere around P42) to see if that applies to you. You also need to give details about whether you're upgrading hardware, changing operating system or moving from 32bit to 64bit as your final goal. You should also read the articles in the wiki on how to backup (and restore) a Zimbra server, if you haven't done that already. When you've read that information post again with details of exactly what you want to achieve. BTW, there are also threads in the forums on moving/upgrading Zimbra, I'd also suggest you read some of those.
