Restoring lost emails from a deleted account

Hello community,

an administrator of ours deleted an email account by mistake, so we needed to create it again, but now all the emails from that account are lost.

Is there a way we can save those? A way to restore or undelete them?

If the account was deleted then the email will be gone. You can restore from a backup, if you have one.

Is there an automatic backup we can revert to, or are the backups done manually?

You'll have to ask them if they have a backup of your mail or what services they provide for recovering it (if possible).
