Default Zimbra as OpenID provider?

Hi everyone

At the moment we use Zimbra's LDAP to authenticate logins to our intranet database system (Apache/PHP/MySQL). And it works well.

I was just wondering if there's any support for Zimbra to act as an OpenID provider also?

That could also be a good alternate solution for people who don't have the ability to use the LDAP modules with their Apache installations.

Although I guess using LDAP is good because it's a core Zimbra service. OpenID would need not only zimbra-ldap to be running but also zimbra-apache to provide the HTTP connections needed for the OpenID transactions... which means there's 2 points of failure rather than 1.

But anyway, anyone thought of Zimbra acting as an OpenID provider before? Can it do it already?

Cheers, B

Awesome, thanks!
Good to know it's at least out there as a concept... voted for some of those bugs.
Cheers, B
