Default search returns only few result / reindex doesn't actually re-index

    Hello,

For almost all of my users' mailboxes, while searching for any query, it do not return all results (in most cases results are upto May, 2011).

Checking mailbox.log for any WARN message for corrupt index, couldn't find any. When tried to re-index some large (> 8 GB to mid-large ~5GB) mailboxes, it gets completed just in fraction of second. (mailbox.log tells it about 400 to 480 ms).

Please note that we were originally running FOSS and in end of May, 2011 we moved to NE. (results returned are till that date only). More than 95% of users are using Zimbra Desktop (Ver. 2.0.1 or 7.0.1)

    Please guide me further actions.

I found similar issue discussed and solved here: [SOLVED] Problem with Client search results

Tried to check it in my environment, but returns error:
    Code:
    zimbra@mail:~$ zmprov gs `zmhostname` | grep convertd
    zimbraServiceEnabled: convertd

    zimbra@mail:~$ zmconvertctl status
    convertd is not running.

    zimbra@mail:~$ zmconvertctl start
Starting convertd...httpd: Could not open configuration file /opt/zimbra/convertd/conf/httpd.conf: No such file or directory
    failed.
Do I really need to re-install with upgrade option?

As you seem to be missing a configuration file then I'd guess the answer is, yes.

    Thanks Bill & Psarni

I re-installed (upgrade) zimbra with convertd. Now all but one mailboxes' search returns proper results. I didn't need to reindex them.

For particular one mailbox, it throws error. I reindexed it, and it was completed successfully without any error. While searching with any kind of query, it doesn't:
