| | | After upgrade to 7.1.1 - moving multiple mails ends up in non-availability of mailbox Hello,
we have upgraded our zimbra systems to 7.1.1.
Now the users experience the following problem:
- they try to move ~200 Mails or more to another Folder (Trashbox, archive folder ...)
- after they do so, the website hangs up and they can't relogin to the webgui.
- imap access also doesn't work anymore
- mails can't be delivered to the mailbox anymore (mailq reports a "Zimbra LMTP server closing connection; service busy")
only a zmmailboxdctl restart helps.
That happens on all our upgraded systems.
Does anyone have any idea to fix that issue?
thanks,
Thomas |

| | | Thomas, which MUA are your client/customers using?
Outlook? Mail.app (Snow Leopard and/or Lion)? Anything else? |

| | | Same! Yes, we are experiencing ALL of these same symptoms. We need a bump on this. I've been in contact with Zimbra support, back-and-forth for a week, and still no resolution. Extremely frustrating, since we have unexpectedly lost IMAP access twice in the past week.
Regarding your first point, it wasn't a move of mail items, but an import of 1300 contacts.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
We're at Release 7.1.1_GA_3196.RHEL5_64_20110527001604 CentOS5_64 NETWORK edition

| | | By the way, when the IMAP connectivity is lost, it's not for one mailbox, it's for ALL users on the same mail store. The IMAP daemon just hangs when attempting to examine the contents of a folder (IMAP login still works). Then, the connections don't close and we quickly reach our max IMAP thread count. |

| | | Would like an official answer on this please, we have been waiting near a week and zimbra support hasn't contacted us with any form of coherent response, let alone a resolution. |

The o/p hasn't even responded to the original question. If you are a Network Edition customer contact Zimbra Support.

| | | We're a NE customer and have been in contact with Zimbra Support. Unfortunately, they haven't been able to resolve this for us yet, so I decided to reach out to the community to see if anybody else had experienced this, and what they did to resolve it. |

The support tickets number would be nice too.
I'm having the same issue (once yesterday evening, a couple of times this morning).
I have no clue "why" this is happening (not sure it's related to "moving lots of items").
Server load is low, RAM usage is normal.
BUT, it just freezes (until mailboxd is restarted or it ends freezing by itself).
