Problems with Safari 5.1

We're using Release 6.0.5_GA_2213.RHEL4_64_20100202211341 RHEL4_64 NETWORK edition, and plan to upgrade to 7.1 by the end of August.

In the meantime, users who have upgraded to Safari 5.1 are having problems.

Every time I compose, it doesn't include the original message. I have to select include original (a different variety) from the Options menu. And then when I finish with that message, the keyboard won't control things as usual (Escape doesn't go back out to the top level email view, return doesn't go into viewing a message). I can use the mouse or I can log out of Zimbra and back in and it's reset. But then after the next compose or reply, the keyboard is not working again.

This only happens with Safari 5.1. Previous versions of Safari don't have this problem, and Firefox seems fine, as well.

Has anyone seen this problem with ZCS 7.1?

I have the same problem using Zimbra 7.1.2 GA and Safari 5.1 in Lion.

Search bugzilla for any bug report(s) and vote any any that apply or file a report yourself.

I've seen this problem mainly on 6.x, but I think it was fixed in 6.0.14.

I think you can work around it by changing to 'compose in a new window'.
