Default Reply To for Distribution List

When someone on a distribution list receives an email from the list, and they click reply the TO address becomes the address of the original sender.

I'd like the distribution list address to be the REPLY TO address. Is this do-able?

For example list = project@abc.com. I send an email to the list. Jeff is in the list and gets my email. He clicks reply (in outlook). His email TO address is me, not the list (project@abc.com).

Thanks in advance... Jim

The header from a mailing list contains a header named 'List-Id' (amongst others) that some clients use to be able to offer the 'Reply to list' function - that feature isn't available in the Zimbra web ui, nor a lot of clients. If you want a feature added then it should go in bugzilla, don't forget to vote on it if you add it.

OK, I know that's not quite what you were asking for and to answer that question, there will be 'Mail Identities' in the next major release of zimbra that will allow a different 'reply to' address to be set. Do those points answer your question?

Default Options?

Thanks for the reply, Bill.

You're right - not the answer I needed.

Options?

Our retired email server had ez-mlm on it. I liked it. A lot. I never did explore joining from a form (opt in email blasts, etc), but it supports sending list requests (subscribe, unsubscribe, etc) which can be manipulated from a form, I suppose. I don't think mailman supports email requests - that I've been able to determine. But who knows? MajorDomo: I've belonged to many groups who used majordomo, and I'm not sure if the admins were challenged or the major is difficult or buggy or horrible design or really, really complicated to set up and troubleshoot.

Any ideas of what discussion group application we can integrate with zimbra?

TIA.

Mailman seem to be a popular choice with a lot of people, I'm not sure if that will be what you're after but there's a how-to here Is that any use to you?
