Not sure where I should set the ipV6 address. I tried setting something i the hosts file.

this is a split domain situation too.

Thanks in Advance

As a temporary fix, I commented out the smtp_content_filter line from postfix's main.cf config file (Iknow this will be overwritten at a restart)

Any ideas here?

Do you actually use IPv6 on your LAN? Have you tried disabling IPv6 on the Zimbra server - Zimbra doesn't fully support IPv6 in all of it's packages at the moment.

There is no IPv6 support in ZCS for Amavis at this time. It looks to me like "localhost" is returning the IPv6 addr before the IPv4 addr. You should just be able to change the order in your /etc/hosts file so that IPv4 is first.

There were no changes to the Amavis version between 7.0.1 and 7.1.1, so it is likely this is due to some other change you made on your server at the same time.

ipV6 is listed after ipv4 in the hosts file

I also tried commenting it out all together

I also tried using the long notation for it.

I feel like the problem is something else too... still looking for a solution

Have you tried the instructions here: ClubUbuntu.com: How to disable IPv6 in Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex
