Default script to delete old calendar items

Hi,

I have seen many users complaining of huge calendars and need to delete them from cli. Please find my attached script that will delete calendar entries before a certain date. I am using it and it is working. Please let me know your comments before I place this in wiki.

Looks interesting - I'll have a look when I've sometime.

Is there a way to archive rather than delete ?

Archiving can be done using any e-mail clients. With zimbra desktop you can archive the calendar by date. In outlook, I think you should be able to do it using internet calendars using http://mail.domain.com/home/user@domain.com/Calendar

Archiving users one at a time using Outlook would take along time and surely require knowledge of each users password.

Not really practical from an administrative point of view.

As all our users use Outlook or Windows mail client all calendar items exist in their mail client. Most of our users are on POP3 so they do not use calendar in zimbra. But zimbra recognizes all calendar requests sent from outlook and adds them to zimbra calendar. So, as users do not need them we delete them.
