Default Debian 5 / Zimbra 6 -> Ubuntu 10.04 / Zimbra 7

Hi, I would like to upgrade my Zimbra (Open Source Edition) server version 6.0.1 to 7.1.1. My OS is a Debian 5 (Lenny), and I would like to upgrade it too.
Since there are not binary packages for Debian 6 (Squeeze), I have thought to migrate to Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.
Unlucky there is not a Zimbra 6.0.1 binary package for Ubuntu 10.04, so I cannot install it on the Ubuntu server and then copy files from the Debian server.
I can export and reimport accounts via zmmailbox, but it takes too much time.
Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you in advance.

Check out ZeXtras Migration Tool, a free tool for Zimbra to Zimbra migrations..

With it the steps for your migration would be fairly straightforward:

- Upgrade your Debian server to Zimbra 6.0.7+ (required by the tool)
- Prepare your Ubuntu server, install Zimbra 7.1.1 on it and configure it (same configuration than the Debian server)
- Create your domains on the new server and use Zextras Migration Tool to move your data to your new server.

You can find the ZeXtras Migration Tool in the Zimbra Gallery: ZeXtras Migration Tool | Zimbra :: Gallery

200 accounts

Dual Core 2Ghz~/ 3GB Ram / Decent HD can handle that

Try a fresh install Ubuntu/Zimbra in a new server and use export/import scripts
