Question Some mail not sending

We have web servers that send out status emails now and then. Some mail doesn't go through though. The stat shows "service unavailable". A bit of the log file is below. We need to get this squared up. Any suggestions?

Seems the service is unavailable when the relay is through mailserv.tgw.com which doesn't really seem to be the MX the domain is with. Or is it configured to work that way (with correct hostname)?

Why do you have two different A records with different IP addresses for the one MX record?

Good question, I hadn't noticed that. I'll check with someone here.

The 2 different IPs are from our 2 different ISPs. We have 2 ISPs to provide redundancy.

I don't believe that's a good idea. If a lookup is done for one of those IP addresses and it's unavailable then the sending server (or your Zimbra server) possibly won't get the other IP address. I'd rather you had two MX records (one for each IP) with different priorities.

[/EDIT]Although your DNS records show both of those IP addresses as being on the A record for mail.yourdomain.com a check the reverse IP address gives strange (to me) results:

Code:
host 65.211.x.x
x.x.211.65.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer mail.yourdomain.com.

host 70.167.x.x
x.x.167.70.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer wsip-x-x-58-245.ks.ks.cox.net.
Do you have a correct reverse IP address for the second address?
