Default Block forwarding email to internet.

Hello Guys,

I would like to configure zimbra so, the user cannot forward email to internet.

User have an option to forward incoming emails to another address. Which he/she can configure by going into Preferences->Mail.

I want to block sending emails to internet. Like, if user configure email forwarding to send emails to gmail or yahoo or any other internet domains, then it should be blocked.

Thank you in advance.

Hi!

I think that it's not possible to "filter" the forwarding address in the way you need it..
You can however disable the option to set a forwarding address via the Zimbra Administration Console at COS level (Select the COS, enter the "Features" tab and uncheck the "Allow users to specify a forwarding address" option and press Save), and then set a "hidden to the user" forward address that can be changed only by and admin.

Hope this helps,

Well, yes.. But then you'll have no outbound mail

Check THIS guide on the Zimbra Wiki to learn how to restrict your users only to certain domains. (You'll define a list of domains allowed for your users and all the rest will be denied.)

Have a nice day,

Thanks. I will try to configure that. I can live with no outbound traffic.

Have a nice day to you too.
