Default Backup MX with postfix

Hi all,

I'd like to get a backup MX server running with postfix to buffer my emails while doing maintenance on my Zimbra server.

I'd rather not use Zimbra as the backup MX. All I need is postfix and maybe LDAP so Zimbra is probably going to be overkill for the task.

Would any of you know where I can find documentation on how to do this or give me some advice on how to go about doing this?

Many thanks!

Are you sure you need a backup MX at all ?

This page convinced me that it's not necessary at all

"Email messages will queue on your senders' MXes for a few days, which should be long enough to resolve your problems. If an email isn't delivered for three or four days, it's probably useless anyway, so it's better that it is returned to the sender."

Thank you for your answer!

With it I can consider not having a backup MX and if I do chose to have one, I got a handy howto!

Much appreciated.
