Default Syncing Zimbra with Google Calendar

We have had multiple requests from our organization to sync Zimbra with Google Calendar, since some people already use that from everywhere. Since they have an API, I'm wondering if there is already a way to sync Zimbra with it?

you can create a folder in zimbra to be remote ical folder:

create a new calendar
check the 'synchronize appointments from remote calendar'
enter the ical feed url supplied by google (in the calendar details page of the calendar settings).

I just made a calendar on google and tried this, and yes, zimbra can read the google calendar as google offers it in ical format. No changes can be made on the zimbra side of things though, so you cant maintain the calendar with both tools.

I'm trying to do this the other way around.
I want to see zimbra in google calendar.

I would like to do this privately, using username and password maybe. But for now i know only public calendar import.
So i publish my calendar, and i get an url like this:
http://server.com/zimbra/home/username/Calendar

I goto google calendar and try to add it, but it doesn't seem to work.
Does anyone know why this is?
Has anyone tried to import zimbra calendar into google?

Hhhmm, now i get an error from google:
Failed to import calendar from "http://server.com/zimbra/home/username/Calendar".

Any ideas why this is happening?

Make sure you have the permissions on the calendar set up correctly for outside access.
Also, try adding ?fmt=ics
on the end of the url

Permission looks good...I can even download the file by putting the URL in the browser and all looks good. I even tried adding it with the ?fmt=ics and good still troughs the same import error:

Processed zero events.

Failed to import events: Empty uploaded file.

Here is the URL I am using (it's public...don't care if folks view it)

http://mailhost.okemoschristiancente...lendar?fmt=ics

Try adding a username and password to the url:
http://username: password@server/blah

Same error. Really it shouldn't matter if I put the username password in as long as I made it public (which I did). I realize this may be a gmail error, but from looking at the output of the URL the .ics output looks good coming from Zimbra just Google won't import it for some reason.
