Default mail.NO_SUCH_FOLDER

We've updated from Zimbra 6 to Zimbra 7.1.1,

zmcontrol -v
Release 7.1.1_GA_3196.UBUNTU10_64 UBUNTU10_64 FOSS edition

With the zimbra webclient users can access the server, but Thunderbird clients can't show some IMAP folders and the following error message is in the maibox.log:
(I have replaced the real path with ***path removed*** for this post)

Code:mail.NO_SUCH_FOLDER Arg:(path, STR,"***path removed***")
at com.zimbra.cs.mailbox.MailServiceException.NO_SUCH _FOLDER(MailServiceException.java:185)

We have already reindexed the mailbox, but the error stays the same. The path shown in the error message does no longer exist and has been moved/deleted while the zimbra 6 server was running, i.e. before the update. The profile in the Thunderbird client has already been deleted and reinitialized, therefore the path seems to be stored on the server.

How can we remove that path and get rid of the error message?

Default wrong entries in mysql table "zimbra.mailbox_metadata"

Further investigation shows that the faulty paths are in the mysql database "zimbra" in the table "mailbox_metadata" . The column "metadata" contains the paths and the id in the column mailbox_id is the mailbox id of the corresponding user.

Reindexing of the mailbox of the user from the administration web ui does not remove the wrong values. Neither does calling "zmprov rim user@bla.bla start" on the console.

Is there any zimbra tool that can repair the meta data in that table?

I have filed this bug report: Bug 61435 – dangling IMAP folder subscriptions resulting in mail.NO_SUCH_FOLDER error
