sync zimbra ldap to external ldap?

So, I would like to sync/replicate zimbra's LDAP to a redhat-directory server i'm trying to setup.

basically, i don't want to mess with zimbra's ldap tree at all but but would like to replicate it to a third (already have a backup zimbra ldap) LDAP.

has anyone done this? i've been playing with ldapsync.pl but i can't seem to make it work.
