issues with sending attachments

So anything else I can try to troubleshoot this further? I spent the whole weekend going through the network looking for anything faulty or various other issues and everything seems to be fine. Like I said before, any mail sent from the server without an attachment goes through just fine and very quickly I might add. Once you add an attachment to it, it ends up in the deferred queue and never goes anywhere, despite endless attempts at sending it back to the active queue.
