How are multiple types of licenses handled within a single ZCSLicense.xml file?

Scenario:

A single Zimbra environment. 7.1.0.

We begin with 325 Perpetual licenses with all options valid until 20120531....

We wish to sell hosted email services from the same Zimbra environment, and purchase another 600 licenses of a different, and suitable type and kind. The two license types are different, and additionally they do not co-terminate.

I want to know before I go forward that a single Zimbra environment can handle a multi-tenant, multi-license-type model, and that I do not have to stand up a totally separate Zimbra stack, per-license-type that I have.

I want to know how a single license file reflects, or otherwise accounts for this circumstance.
