Default Zimbra log files.

Hello, world. )
I can not find for Zimbra any means of processing of mail log files. With possibility of sorting on the sender, the addressee, date, etc. With Web GUI, if it's possible.
Tried to use some utilities for Postfix, but most likely the log-file format differs from native - it has turned out nothing.
To use | grep or any command-line utilities it is not so convenient.
Maybe exists smth from Zimbra Admin Extension?
Somebody can help?)

Thanks.

The Daily Mail Report uses a utility named 'pflogsumm' to process the log files, search the web for details of the utility and what can be done with it. If you want something more sophisticated the set-up a central syslog-server.

Thank you for advise.
You mean set-up the Zimbra's central syslog-server or others?
And is there any manuals for set-up a Zimbra's central syslog-server?

No, I mean forward the Zimbra logs to another syslog server such as Splunk (there are plenty of other choices if you search the internet).

Default how to redirect zimbra mta logs to another syslog server

Hi,

I'm new to Zimbra. We have set-up Zimbra in a virtual Environment (ESX 4.1).

Due to legal obligations, we need to redirect our Zimbra MTA logs to our central logging appliance.
Logging appliance has been setup, it's name is cryptolog. It's based on Syslog.

My question is "how can we redirect Zimbra Mta logs to this appliance and how?".

If anyone can explain it in detail, we will appreciate that help very much.

Thanks for your support in advance..

Server info:
Server OS: Ubuntu 8.04.4 LTS X86-64 bit
System user: zimbra
Mta logs: /var/log/zimbra.log
Mail server version: Zimbra Collaboration Suite Open Source Edition 6.0.10 GA 2692 Foss Dec.2010
