Default mails not received not bounced

Hello,

For last few days users in our organisation started complaining about non receiving of the mails from external senders. i.e. if any person over the world sends mail to any of the user in my zimbra server, mail is not received at all (inbox/junk) and not bounced to sender also. In such case, sender has the mail in his sent folder. This happens to mails from gmail more frequently, but from other domains also the problem persists.

Can anybody please guide me on how to troubleshoot the matter.

Dipesh

Look in the log files and see if there's any connection from the sending server (or any email from the sender) when they're supposed to be sending mail to you. If there's nothing in the logs then the problem lies elsewhere.

I have checked /var/log/mail.* logs for entire day when they informed that they have sent mail, but couldn't find any connection from the sending server.

If there's no evidence that there's an incoming connection from the sending server then why would you think the problem is with Zimbra?

I don't think the problem with zimbra..... I trust my zimbra most . But when non receipt complains increased and from various areas of the world, it lead to change my thoughts and to start checking if anything is missed by me.

Well, thanks for your co operation and I shall keep eyes on the matter, if anything I find, will post here.
