Default Queries before upgrading FOSS to NE

Hello All,

We have been successfully using on-site deployed ZCS 7.0.1 FOSS Edition. Just to have mobility feature, we are planning to move for Network Edition. I know there are lot articles in wiki and forum posts for the same, inspite I would like to ask others a few queries just to reconfirm the same:

1. I understand that as we shall be moving just ZCS Edition on same hardware and OS, so it should be simple and straight to download NE binary (same release) and perform 'upgrade'

2. Before completion of procurement process for license, can we upgrade to NE as there is trial of 60 days, and activate the same on receipt of license key?

3. For any reason if we do not go for NE, shall we revert to FOSS after 60 days of trial?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Dipesh,

1.- Yes, it's as straightfoward as that. There is a number of forum posts on the subject.

2.- Yes. Just beware that you would need to stay withing the 50-account limit of the trial license.

Thanks friend,

I was not aware about 50 accounts' limit for trial. We more more users, so I would wait till I get the license key.
