Hi everybody,
we are experiencing some troubles with our outgoing mail: we are using
Zimbra release 6.0.6_GA_2330.UBUNTU8_64 UBUNTU8_64 FOSS edition.
SenderBase has decretated that out pubblic IP has a "poor reputation".
Firstly it was by an incorrect FQDN hostname in HELO presentation.
I fixed this doing (from Zimbra Forum):
zmprov mcf zimbraMtaMyHostname mail.mydomain.com
zmcontrol stop && zmcontrol start
But at SenderBase they are very accurate: our IP is still "poor", now due to a non-literal HELO. To confirm this I get the following error if I try to send an e-mail to certain addresses:
<info-at-domain-name.it>: host smtp-host-name.it[111.222.333.444] said: 554 5.7.1 <[my_pubblic_ip]>: Helo command rejected: IP literal in HELO hostname - please contact postmaster@domain-name.it (in reply to RCPT TO command)
So I try to do this (from Zimbra Forum):
postconf -e smtp_helo_name='my-helo-literal-name'
zmlocalconfig -e postfix_smtp_helo_name='my-helo-literal-name'
zmcontrol stop && zmcontrol start
but nothing change... How can I resolve this issue?
Thanks in advance.
Fred
