[SOLVED] zimra sends external but no recieve from internal or external

hello all i'm new here so bare with me. i just recently upgraded from citadel to zimbra on my home email server and i'm having some issues as you already know. the install went great with no errors i'm using ubuntu server 10.04 lts and i know they say it is not supported but others are making it work. my domain name is thehowellnet.com the zimbra server comes up as mail.thehowellnet.com so i added an alias thehowellnet.com to the system. i did add a mx record to my host dns for mail.thehowellnet.com and thehowellnet.com was already setup from previous mail server. now i'm able to telnet thehowellnet.com on port 25 and get a reply showing the server as mail.thehowellnet.com any advise i am no expert so please bare with me.
