Default Issue in Accessing Mysql residing in Zimbra remotely

Hi,

I am new to zimbra. I observed Zimbra is using Mysql. However when I try to access the DB remotely, it fails.
I used port 3306 and 7360. Please do help on this. (tried with Zimbra admin credential)

Thanks.

never tried this myself but mysql access rights can be restricted by host, it wouldn't surprise me if it's locked down to localhost only.

Why are you trying to do that? If you're thinking of modifying MySQL or using it for some other application then I'd suggest you leave it alone, Zimbra is best left with exclusive access to the installed packages and modifications may break your server and will most likely be lost on upgrade.
