Default Port 8080 & port 80

Good day all,

At present i have zimbra operating on port 80 and i would like it to operate on port 80 and 8080 . Is this possible ?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you want Zimbra to answer on BOTH ports you can solve it with iptables without touching Zimbra's config:

# iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -p tcp --dport 8080 -j REDIRECT --to-ports 80

Hope this helps what you are trying to achieve!

Have a look in the zimbra/jetty/etc/jetty.xml.in file. It details the specifics for the HTTP and HTTPS connectors.

Cheers ws

Be VERY careful when editing those files. I recommend you doing a full backup first (it's always good to backup your mails anyway) before editing.

After modifying, if everything works fine, backup that modified jetty.xml.in file too, because you might loose it after an update.

My recommendation will be not touching Zimbra files and trying the iptables rule I wrote on a previous post - that is unless you need to free port 80, in that case you'll need to modify the jetty file.

Good luck!
