Default Cross-domain/cross-server Calendar sharing

Hello,

I have two versions of Zimbra - Zimbra Open Source and Zimbra NE. They're installed on 2 different machines. Each zimbra server has different domain, obviously. When sharing my calendar from Zimbra OS to Zimbra NE and vice-versa, it gives me an error something like "UNKNOWN user" whenever I accept the share.

Any idea how to resolve this? Or is this even possible?

Thank you.

Since the two clusters don't know about each others servers, you can't do sharing between them.

The best you will get is to share it to an "External User", and then use the ICS link on the other server so that the user can view the calendar. That will allow one calendar to be published for viewing for the user on the other server. The person who doesn't own the calendar will not be able to make changes or edit it, however.

Thank you Krishopper. How do I use the ICS link in the viewing user?

I figured it out. The ICS needs to be saved and imported. So there's no way to automatically sync the two domain then.

Not across servers that are aren't connected through the same Zimbra directory server.

I think you might be able to do automatic sync. Don't save and import the ics file. Instead, copy the link to the ics, and paste it into the URL for "Synchronize apointments from remote calendar" when you create a new calendar.

I haven't actually tested this. If it doesn't work, then you probably want Bug 39402 – Ability to access external calendars via CalDAV

This might also interest you: Bug 26398 – ZCS to ZCS free/busy interop
