Default Daily Report says "No messages found", but I know email is going to users on the srv

On one of our zimbra servers the Daily Report reads like so:
Generating report

From 2006-10-08 00:00:00 to 2006-10-09 00:00:00

No messages found

--
I KNOW that email is going to clients on this server. What's up and how do I get a good daily report?

--
Also, I don't know if this is related or not... The server statistic graphs on this host are totally messed up. The are all 'scrunched up' and instead of nice dates at the bottom there is a 'black bar' ... It looks like many dates are written over each other... I'll see if I can copy one of the server and post a link

is the logger service running?

Code:
su - zimbra
zmcontrol status
verify whether the data is in the logger db:

Code:
su - zimbra
logmysql zimbra_logger
select * from mta_aggregate where left(arrive_time,10)='2006-10-08';
select * from mta_aggregate where left(period_start,10)='2006-10-08';

Default Same Issue

We've had this problem ever since installing Zimbra (4.0.3). Occasionally the graphs will be updated for a couple of days after an upgrade (like the recent 4.5.1 upgrade) then it just continues to fail. I don't care so much about the graphs but it's annoying for it not to work. :-) Anyone have any solutions?

Since the 4.5.1 upgrade the graphs have continued to work (5 days now). This is the longest they've continued to work so hopefully this is resolved. Daily reports have continued to work as well.
