Default DNS issue

Hello,

I'm running a zimbra server for 3 domains, and almost everything works. Typically I connect to zimbra admin just using an ip:7071 on the local lan. This works well and the admin console works fine. However, when looking at a user's account and the view mail button is pressed, I get linked to the external DNS name instead of an internal ip. Can anyone suggest a fix?

The fix is to install Zimbra correctly and use a Split DNS.

Yup, DNS is split correctly ( I think). Internal ip resolves to the internal hostname and vice-versa. Any other suggestions? Is there an internal zimbra setting that can be tweaked?

Added this:
The problem is, only when punching that view email button in the user account management...you get the external hostname which won't route inside. There is no other problem, as far as i know. Users are able to use the internal name inside and the external name outside to read email and I can get to the admin console this way as well from the inside.

The public service hostname setting looks interesting, I'll give that a whirl.
