Question Specific mail is not getting delivered within domain through Outlook

Hi,

One of my user is facing weird issue.
User1 (User1@example.com) sent mail to user2 (User2@example.com) WITHIN domain. When user2 tried to replied / forward mail to User1@example.com then it is not getting delivered to User1@example.com. But the strange thing is User2 is not getting any failure delivery for the same even in zimbra.log it is showing successful delivery...

Please have a look of message header of the mail which User1 sent to User2.

I tried below things :
1. Tried to forward the same mail through MS outlook to example.com( to User3), yahoo.com, gmail.com and it got delivered successfully to external domains but couldnt delivered to example.com. There is no error in zimbra.log and no faliure delivery in outlook.
2. Tried to forward the same mail through zimbra webmail to example.com and it got delivered sucessfully.
3. Disabled Mcafee antivirus for email scan at sender and receiver's desktop and tried step # 1 ..but same issue.
4. Tried to send new mail from User2 to User1 and it is getting delivered without any issue. Only the issue with this particular mail through outlook WITHIN domain.

I am not sure but I found message ID in above header very dfferent. Normal message id i have seen is not this big or with too many special character...I dont know but just wanted to high light..

It will be great if someone give any clue to find out the root cause.

Thanks

As per habit i was keep checking zimbra.log where it was showing all mail communication delivered successfully..for more details I checked in mailbox.log and found "lmtp - Not delivering message with duplicate Message-ID" error message for the same delivery..!!!
Searhed on forum and found so many similar thread with below solution to fix this issue :

zmprov mcf zimbraMessageIdDedupeCacheSize 0

I will check it tonight as it require service restart...

I have gone through all related posts but still have major concerns and couldnt find out any answers for tht :

1. If the MTA is discarding the duplicate message id delivery then why it shows successful delivery in zimbra.log ?

2. In such case why can't sender receive failure delivery notification ?
( It is a major concern from customer end as sender always in impression that he sent the mail and it got delivered and even administrator is not aware about it as it is not feasible to check the logs for each and every mail communication.)

3. If we make cache size 0 then it may raise issue regarding DL comunication as per below link :
Distribution list address handling
So which the right way to fix both issue ?

Can anyone please help me to understand this as it is really major concern.
This happened with customer's business related important mail communication so have to give justification..

Thanks

Default lmtp duplicate message not delivered

Hello,

I'm having the same issue in two different installations, and it doesn't seem to be Outlook related (at least in one).

Any update?
Shall I fill a bug for having postfix logging a delivered message when lmtp does not?
