Exclamation [SOLVED] Zcs Ne 7.1.0

Hi,

Anyone notice that ZCS 7.1.0 is now available? Haven't seen any notifications only one recently for a '7.0.1 Patch'.

Product management portal doesn't say 7.1.0 has been released either.

So are we now at version '7.1.0'?

Thanks,
Sean.

Yes, lets have an official comment please. Why is 7.1.0 listed instead of 7.0.1 at: Network Edition Downloads: Enterprise Messaging and Collaboration Software by Zimbra

PM page says it's not released yet... I've been trying to schedule an update to 7 for some weeks now, and today may be it. But not if the zimbra site can't convince me of which version I should be upgrading too.

Also ZCS 7.1 (DoubleHelix)

A release is a highly coordinated and planned effort - lots of things to check, double-check, and update

Heck here's an outstanding issue: Bug 58717 - Unexpected EOF in ZCS 7.1 Ubuntu8_64 FOSS

~

Basically what was going to be 7.0.2 became 7.1 - it's like a normal maintenance release plus the groundwork for future encryption and authentication features - which warranted an increment of the minor version instead of micro.

In hindsight perhaps we could have called it 7.2 to avoid confusion with 7.0.1, but most can figure out that versioning follows our standard Major.Minor.Micro concept - DoubleRainbow puns aside.

Thanks for the reply. Guess I wasn't used to catching Zimbra website in transition. Thought something bad was happening--turns out it was something good! Thanks!

Least there's been no major issues worthy of a pull/undo so far *knocks on wood.

Been itching for CentOS 5.6 to go live all day, definitely having some headaches... GPG signatures > re-spinning ISO's > re-pushing to mirrors.... but obviously an operating system is far more complicated of a release.
