Default Upgrade ZCS 6.0.7 32bit Ubuntu 8.04 to ZCS 6.x 64bit Ubuntu 10.04

Hi,

I will have to migrate our current ZCS 6.0.7 32bit in Ubuntu 8.04 server from virtual environment to a physical quad core server with 4GB of RAM. In this case I would use Ubuntu Server 10.04 64bit as my OS for the new machine.

My plan is to copy the /opt/Zimbra folder from the old 32bit Ubuntu 8.04 server to the new 64bit Ubuntu 10.04 server then run the 64bit version of ZCS 6.0.7. Is this possible? If not, could you guide me to the steps I need?

Thanks.

Did you look at the wiki article (and the many forum threads) on moving from a 32bit to 64bit server? Follow the wiki article and the move will be successful, I'll also move this to the correct forum.

I've seen this but it is for old version of ZCS and I've stumbled upon this wiki article but it is noted that I shoud have the same version of Zimbra for both. My current version at the production is 6.0.7 and is not compatible with Ubuntu 10.04 (the OS in the 64bit server).

Do I need to upgrade first my current 6.0.7 to 6.0.12 before proceeding with the migration?

Yes, you do - follow the wiki article and (obviously) miss out the NE steps.

Ok, I'll start cloning our zimbra production server then start from there.

Just one question. In my current version of Zimbra (6.0.7), whenever I type zmcontrol -h I don't see the maintenance option. Could I still toggle it by invoking zmcontrol maintenance? Or is there any other command that I could use to put the server in maintenance mode?

Thanks for your help
