Tons of left over files in defer folder I've been looking at my zimbra backups, (I zmcontrol stop and rsync /opt/zimbra) and I noticed that I have thousands of files (most with old dates) in the /opt/zimbra/data/postfix/defer folder.
When I look at deferred mail in the gui zimbra admin web page, I see only 5 deferred emails waiting, but in the /opt/zimbra/data/postfix/defer folder, there are thousands of files.
I've done "postsuper -d ALL deferred" and "postsuper -p ALL deferred but it makes no difference.
Is there a "correct" way to purge these files? They really cause the backups to consume a bunch of "extra" space. What would happen if I just stop postfix and delete these files (not the folders -- there are folders named 0-F which contain all these files...)?
The 5 deferred emails listed in zimbraAdmin do appear to be in one of the folders under defer, and I can temporarily move these to the hold queue...
PS. I upgraded to 6.0.12 from 6.0.9 last week, most of these files are from way before then... |
